Issue No. 48 of the International Journal for the Portuguese Language (RILP) focuses on the evolution of AULP as a promoter of international academic mobility, with particular emphasis on ProCultura+, the first Erasmus+ project coordinated by AULP. ProCultura+ was designed to strengthen artistic, cultural, and pedagogical capacities in the Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP) and Timor-Leste, promoting employability in the cultural sector and interinstitutional cooperation in higher education. Between 2022 and 2025, the project involved 20 higher education institutions from seven countries (Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste), with 90 mobilities carried out (45 students and 45 academic staff members). The programme stood out for promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and cultural diversity, encouraging the exchange of experiences and the publication of scientific articles in this edition. It consolidated lasting cooperation networks, contributed to the internationalisation of Lusophone higher education, and enabled the submission of a new phase with funding approved by ANE+ for additional mobilities, while also introducing professional internships and exchanges for administrative staff from international relations and mobility offices. This demonstrates that ProCultura+ was more than a mobility programme: it was a human and cultural movement that brought together generations of students and professors around the Portuguese language and the transformative power of culture.
