Abstract

Oncological pathology corresponds to a significant portion of the incidence and mortality of chronic diseases in world societies, especially those that are more economically developed. Its secondary prevention has become a weapon of recognized importance, in particular through population coverage and the application of standardized screening methodologies and techniques. The general principles of cancer screening, as well as its application and suitability for cases of female breast cancer, cervix and colorectal segment are described.
